After years at the helm of BBC Worldwide Media, I returned to what had always called to me most deeply: the art and architecture of learning itself. My work now lies in forging sustained partnerships with young minds at the threshold of university, guiding them through the complexities of planning for college applications. In addition, I offer rigorous tutoring in advanced placement and university-level mathematics, statistics, economics, and finance. I also prepare those already in college for the LSAT, GRE, and GMAT, and for demanding interviews with investment banks and quantitative finance houses, where intellect must prove itself under scrutiny.

My own studies were in Economics and Mathematics at Columbia, both as an undergraduate and graduate scholar. The inquiries I pursued there into how we learn, how knowledge takes root and flowers, were showcased later at Stanford, and gave shape to my book, Storied Minds.

What I bring to my students is a dual inheritance: the exacting standards of Ivy League scholarship wedded to the strategic clarity of executive leadership. I aim for my students to not only gain impressive credentials, though we earn those too, but to also cultivate a mindset even more enduring: authentic intellectual capacity, the habit of critical thought, and the confidence to wield both in a world that increasingly demands nothing less.

I'm the sixth educator in my family. A Nobel-laureate ancestor founded an university. My grandfather taught Comparative Philology; grandmother, a school principal, taught Physics; father, a professor of Statistics, and my uncle, a professor of Medicine.

Growing up among them, I learned that teaching is not just about transmitting information. It's a craft that requires understanding how different minds work, the patience to let learning unfold naturally, and the intellectual depth to connect ideas across disciplines. Every mind has its own architecture, and the best education is built around that architecture, not against it.
